Andy Warhol (1928–1987) was a revolutionary American artist and filmmaker, and the definitive figurehead of the Pop Art movement. After a successful early career as a commercial illustrator in New York, he gained notoriety in the early 1960s by producing paintings that elevated everyday consumer objects and celebrity photographs into fine art, intentionally blurring the lines between high and low culture. His signature technique was photo-silkscreen printing, which allowed him to replicate images - such as the Campbell's Soup Cans, Marilyn Diptych, and portraits of Elvis and Mao - in a detached, mass-produced style that mimicked advertising and reflected American consumerism. His studio, The Factory, became a legendary hub of New York's counterculture, and his output encompassed not only painting and sculpture but also filmmaking and publishing. Warhol's work remains an indispensable commentary on media, fame, and the nature of modern identity.

Packaging

• Unframed art prints are placed between sheets of acid free tissue paper before being rolled in kraft paper and placed in a heavy-duty mailing tube. Tissue paper is placed at the ends to prevent movement in transit.
• Framed artworks are encased in several layers of bubble wrap before being placed in our purpose-built heavy-duty cardboard boxes specifically designed to safeguard your artwork against damage while in transit.
