THE PRINT

Bubble Girl was originally located in Hackney, East London as is much of Banksy's early work. It first appeared in February 2008 next to a youth center. The artwork depicts a young girl blowing bubbles as she slides down a drainpipe. The girl seems to be able to find enjoyment even though her playground seems to consist of nothing but industrial piping. She seems oblivious to her actual surroundings and possibly even the problems and difficulties presented by the environment in which she lives her day to day life. This gallery quality art print has been produced on heavy weight art stock (280gsm/satin finish) using lightfast pigment based inks resulting in a sharp, vivid image with a high degree of colour accuracy. The image floats in a white border for ease of framing.

Banksy is the pseudonym of a British graffiti artist, political activist and painter, whose identity is unconfirmed. His satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine irreverent dark humour with graffiti done in a distinctive stencilling technique. Such artistic works of political and social commentary have been featured on streets, walls, and bridges of cities throughout the world.
