Charlie Brown Firestarter
by Banksy
THE PRINT
Charlie Brown Firestarter was originally created by Banksy in February 2011. It was discovered painted at curb level on the side of a burned out building in Beverly Hills. The artwork depicts the Peanuts cartoon character Charlie Brown surreptitiously emptying gasoline from a red can. He is shown as having a smile on his face while smoking a cigarette. It is implicit in the work that Banksy is alleging that the cartoon character caused the fire that destroyed the building the graffiti is located on. This irreverent and cheeky street artwork will make the perfect addition to a teenage boys room, the man cave or a bachelor pad.
