THE PRINT

This captivating artwork by Dunedin based artist Frank Gordon showcases a selection of iconic New Zealand native birds nestled amongst lush native foliage. This artwork has a mysterious and alluring quality about it. The image bursts forth from the canvas, an eruption of flora and fauna, engulfing our frame of view. We adore the fetching teal and green colour palette and interesting perspective that Gordon employs in this work. This versatile artwork can be displayed anywhere in the home though we particularly love utilising it as a feature artwork in the living room.  

This premium quality offset art print has been produced on heavy weight art paper with a satin finish using lightfast pigment based inks resulting in a sharp, vivid image with a high degree of colour accuracy.

THE ARTIST

Frank Gordon has painted most of his life.  He is largely self-taught and lists his major influences as Bruegel, Bosch, Glasgow artist Peter Howson and New Zealand artist, Michael Smither. There is usually an element of humour in his work with colourful characters engaging in their own mini dramas. As a trained psychiatric nurse, and working daily with people that have experienced mental health problems, Frank’s life is as colourful as his paintings.  He tries to explore and express on canvas the story of people, the highs and lows, the dreams, quirks and absurdities of being human.

  • Orders under $150 in value ship at a flat rate of $8.

PACKAGING
  • Unframed art prints are placed between sheets of acid free tissue paper before being rolled in kraft paper and placed in a heavy duty mailing tube. Tissue paper is placed at the ends to prevent movement during transit.
  • Framed artworks are encased in several layers of bubble wrap before being placed in our purpose-built heavy duty cardboard boxes specifically designed to safeguard your artwork against damage while in transit.

PAYMENT

We accept all major credit cards as well as Paypal. If you are based in New Zealand or Australia you also have the option to pay using Afterpay or Laybuy. When checking out your order will be processed in NZD (New Zealand Dollars).

RETURNS

Not quite sure if this artwork will be the perfect fit for your home? Don't sweat it. If for any reason you are not totally enamoured with your new purchase you are welcome to exchange it for another artwork or return it for store credit or a refund.
