THE PRINT

During his summer retreat in Litzlberg on Lake Attersee, Klimt started his days at 6am with long strolls in the woods. Locals often referred to him as a “Waldschrat” - meaning somebody who lives in the woods on his own. The neo-impressionistic and pointillistic dissolution of the trees, seen here for the first time within Klimt's oeuvre, leads to a limitation of space. To persuade the depth of the wood, trees are aligned on both sides of the painting and opening in a wood glade. This premium quality giclee art print has been produced on luxurious 100% cotton rag textured art paper using archival quality inks resulting in a superior print suitable for museum or gallery display.

THE ARTIST

Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) was an Austrian symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Secession movement. Klimt is noted for his paintings, murals, sketches, and other art objects. Klimt's primary subject was the female body. His works are marked by a frank eroticism.

PACKAGING
  • Unframed art prints are placed between sheets of acid free tissue paper before being rolled in kraft paper and placed in a heavy duty mailing tube. Tissue paper is placed at the ends to prevent movement during transit.
  • Framed artworks are encased in several layers of bubble wrap before being placed in our purpose-built heavy duty cardboard boxes specifically designed to safeguard your artwork against damage while in transit.

PAYMENT

We accept all major credit cards as well as Paypal. If you are based in New Zealand or Australia you also have the option to pay using Afterpay or Laybuy. When checking out your order will be processed in NZD (New Zealand Dollars).

RETURNS

Not quite sure if this artwork will be the perfect fit for your home? Don't sweat it. If for any reason you are not totally enamoured with your new purchase you are welcome to exchange it for another artwork or return it for store credit or a refund.
